Glengoyne 12 Year Old cask strength

As with the other Glengoyne standard distillery expressions I’ve sampled the aroma is the best part and the less said about the finish the better. It’s worth buying this malt just for the aroma though. Very hot on the palate not surprisingly given the strength so I’d recommend a little water.
Nose: Toasted almonds, spices, cinnamon, caramel, vanilla. Much the best part of this whisky Taste: More almonds, vanilla. Hot at full strength but softer with water. Finish: Short dry finish.
