I'd love to attend! This would be an epic whisk(e)y mission for me. Careful planning is reuired - perhaps next year.

@Bourbondork -- Cool. How many seminars are you going to? I'm attending the breakfast, Compass Box, Hudson, Morrison-Bowmore, and the Meet & Greet.

@paddockjudge -- You should start planning now. There's a whole weekend worth of interesting things to do.

@Mantisking Didn't sign up for the seminars. If the weather holds, I'm headed up to VT for some brewery visits. If not, then I guess I'll head over to Julio's and crash some classes.

Attended the Meet and Greet last night and noticed is wasn't as heavily attended as last year. Made it nice not having to stand in lines to taste whiskey.....well, at least not very long. Tasted some nice stuff with a couple of standouts. Aberfeldy Signature, a blend of 25-40 year old whiskies was very good. Hibiki 12 year was one I enjoyed as well as the Dickel Rye. The Hibiki and Dickel are not high cost items but were good drinkers.

@Bourbondork -- The girlfriend and I came home with three apiece. Hers were Royal Lochnagar Distiller's Edition, Grand Macnish 15, and Wemyss Spice King. My choices were Bruichladdich 10, Eades Virginia Highland Malt, and Tormore 18.

@Mantisking I had a nice chat with the guy from Virginia Distilling and sampled the Virginia Highland Malt. I thought it was good but not good enough to drop money on it just yet. The whisky at 6 years old is rather young. What I thought was interesting is he claimed they didn't know the provenance of the whisky since they work through a broker to acquire. I think they have an NDA in place and can't talk about it so the "we don't know" story shuts down further questions.

I picked up the balvenie 12 single barrel, Bowmore Dorus Mor, macallan 10, and Caol Ila unpeated. Thought it was a pretty good haul.
