hakushu Distillers's Reserve

A very good light flavoured whisky but a bit coarse - it definitely needs some water to bring out the depth of flavours present, nevertheless the finish is brilliant. This example does not seem to have sufficient subtlety or age to justify the UK price of £40 (which is actually beyond my normal limit but I was being a bit adventurous). This is definitely worth a try if your wallet can cope with it.
