Once again this is an Independent bottling of Sullivan's Cove, matured in Bourbon and bottled for yee and me to enjoy.
Nose: starts floral, then kiwifruit, melon and nashi pears, then it goes slightly mushroom and pine forest, whack in some blackberries and vanilla and this nose is a bit of everything. With water richer, denser and maybe some menthol?
Pallet: viscous liquid, thick caramel fudge, honey soaked nuts, not much from the nose comes through. With water some vanilla and a light pepper but the nose is the nose by the seem of things (as in not a lot comes through).
Finish: fresh and nutty. With water buttered brioche I would say, nuts again and maybe some cinnamon?
Mark neat – 8.5, with water – 8.5.
I've enjoyed it now you should too
