Gouden Carolus is without an doubt the best Belgian whisky which is not so difficult as the 2 other whisky tastes like something chemical. This whisky has a very fruity and sweet flavour but.... it does not taste like whisky

Dear Sven, Gouden Carolus is a Belgian beer (a very good one, I agree), but it is not a whisky ;-)

I totally agree, it is the best even when it's still to sweet. and to Happy Bunny: Please don't knock people down if you don't know what your talking about: Gouden Carolus is "also" a beer and the only thing these two have in common is that they use the same malt which by the way comes from the same brewery but is distilled at an other place (stokerij van Breedam) to make the whiskey. They have bought an old farm though where somebody used to make Genever (Gin) a long time ago.
