@paddockjudge From a person in Kentucky, yes. More people are drinking / demanding. In one of the larger stores in Louisville KY, they have not had Weller 12 on the shelves in over a year. It is all very spotty. In any given area, at any given time, there will be a shortage of something. Right now, in KY / TN, it is Weller 12 and Weller Antique. Next year, it will be Elmer T Lee that we can't find on the shelves. And yeah, the ultra premiums, I've all but given up on them - not worth the fight. That being said, I'll certainly make another attempt at a GTS this fall :)

Heh. That is, "Yes" to the question in your post, "Have you noticed less..."

No, I have not noticed less. My US state (Virginia) seems pretty well stocked. They are state run stores, prices are terrible on Scotch but quite good on American whisky, good selection too, of course with the usual caveat that you are not going to be able to walk into any store and get something from the Antique Collection but otherwise I have not seen shortages.

Have you noticed less of the premium or ultra premium expressions available of late?
We get our share of Sazerac expressions in Ontario....except for the tightly allocated Antique Collection. They come and go; usually they go very quickly.
Last year WL Weller 12 YO made a totally unexpected appearance. This spring we have a couple of skids of Elmer T. Lee and Rock Hill farms. @Victor mentioned that we have more ETL in the Ontario government stores than all of Montgomery County (it's about time! lol). However, there was a dry spell recently; not much of the single barrel bourbons were available - Eagle Rare was so sparse that I presumed it to be on allocation. Booker's is nowhere to be found in our fair province. Maker's 46 disappeared with a few cases reappearing at a half-dozen stores. Blanton's has all but vanished.
