The people of The Nectar have bottled quite a few Irish already, most of them veritable gems. This one was bottled as Anniversary Edition.

Lovely exoctic nose on banana, mango, mandarin, bergamot, lime, pears and reminds me a bit of Jelly Beans. Or those candy bears by Haribo. Very sweet, but also very fruity. And a green, bitter touch as if from over infused chamomile tea. Wonderful with capital W.

It is creamy and honeysweet, but the fruit is now mostly from the citrus family. Zesty too, and then some. Vanilla kicks in, together with some pineapple. Chamomile again. A touch of cinnamon and aniseed, but also some liquorice.

In the long finish, some white pepper rears its head, but liquorice has the final say.

Again a gem, indeed. Cooley or Bushmills? I put my money on Bushmills. Who cares? Between 220 and 250 EUR.
