I do miss the Whisky Fair in Limburg, Germany. Both in 2020 and this year, corona messes things up, but I have warm memories of 2019. Not in the least because of this wonderful Irish whiskey that was bottled especially by The Whisky Agency for this festival. Judging by the color, it was not the first time this cask was used, that's how pale it is.

Soft nose on primarily citrus fruit. Think lemon, lime and yuzu. Underneath is a very soft spiciness with a touch of vanilla. But really very subtle, making this smell fresh, fruity and bright. Fanta Lemon on steroids, but so clean. A pinch of crystal sugar as well. After a few moments of breathing some papaya and star fruit emerge.

On the palate it's a soft as the backside of a baby and a mild spiciness for a moment takes control of your taste buds. Ginger, quinine and pepper. But then the fruit steps forward, again the emphasis on citrus fruit. Pretty cool.

The medium long finish is especially clean. Again all about citrus. That really is the leitmotif of this Irish whiskey.

A delicious aperitif. Thank you, Benny!
