For some reason, the blog link didn't post. My apologies!

your FAQ suggests you'll review anything made with malted barley. Among those listed you didn't include beer. Are you going to review beers?
And are you going to avoid the grain whiskies (for example Hedonism)?

@Nozinan The FAQ does not suggest that I will be reviewing anything made with malted barley. It states quite clearly "This blog will only include WHISKIES that use malted barley.", so no, beers will not be included!

@MacBaker62
oops, quite right.. sorry. Though, of course, beer is considered a precursor to malt whisky.
I would suggest you "allow" yourself to stray to include non-malt whiskies, such as any made from non-malted barley, or the odd grain blend (such as Hedonism by The Compass Box). Not for our benefit, you understand, but to allow yourself such flexibility...

Nice pics. I like that the posts are not novels in length. Clean look.
Good luck to you and to growing your audience.

@Nozinan I suggest perhaps drinking the beer while reading the blog.

It looks good as far as content goes, but Is it just me, or is the font size quite small? If it's not me can you pump it up a bit? I find it quite difficult to read.

@BlueNote I went back and edited my posts, changing the font setting on Blogger from their standard setting of "Small", to the "Normal" size setting. I hope that fixes any size issue.

@MacBaker62, BAM!!!!! You won me over with this:
"Each review will only be made on whiskies where multiple tastings were taken from an individual bottle. No single dram tasting will be given a full review."
These guys and gals sipping on a thimble of Scotch they got in the mail from the M.O.M and then writing a dissertation on why the masses should not buy is a joke. I'll be subscribing to your blog.

I posted another review on Thursday (July 11), this time on Glenrothes 1998 Vintage. Bringing the current total to four reviews posted to the blog, including Dalmore 12, Balvenie 12 DoubleWood, and Talisker 10. I've posted a total of 14 items to the blog in it's first week. FYI, this is not a pace I intend to continue, but I did want to have some content to give visitors an idea of what the blog will be about, and give them several things to read and look at on their first visit.
Going forward, I will try to post at least one new review every week to ten days, and I will continue to post other Whisky related items that I might find worth sharing. If you have anything you wish to have posted on this blog, any useful comments, or wish to participate as a contributor to the blog, please contact me at: maltresearchinstitute@gmail.com

Someone pointed out a rather obvious error in my blog's website address "Institute" was misspelled insinstitute. That has now been corrected, but in doing so, the old web address is now a dead link.
this is the corrected link to the Blog: maltresearchinstitute.blogspot.com

Like a few others here, I've decided to start a Whisky focused blog. this blog will feature the usual Whisky reviews, but I will also post whisky related humorous pictures, industry news, and whatever else strikes my fancy that relates to our shared love for whiskies and the distilleries that produce them.
Please take time to check out the first few posts, comment, and (I hope) enjoy my blog.
