Unmistakably identifiable as double distilled Hiram Walker corn whisky aged at Pike Creek. There is a splash of rye in the mix, but it is the new oak influence that brings toffee and vanilla along with a dash of spice. Oaky bitterness compliments the sweet highlights. Light fruit accents contribute to the balance. Butter and nuts play a supporting role. Short dry finish with a mentho-lyptus tingle. Everything is wood. What else is whisky, if not for the wood? Brilliant creation! At 48% abv. This is pure genius.
