This is the third Kilchoman I've tried and at 5-6 Years Old the oldest too. Minty peat with sultanas on the nose with a note of toffee. In fact mint and toffee seems to be a consistent underlying profile of Kilchoman. Very powerful flavours for such a young whisky.

The palate matches the nose really with the peat even more noticeable now. Dried fruits? Wonderfully complex. The finish provides a waft of smoke, like a fine Havana Cigar.

This is the best Kilchoman I've tried and I have really high hopes for the distillery. To create such a complex full flavoured single malt at a mere 6 years old is very impressive. I can't wait for 2020 when hopefully we start seeing the 12-15yo releases. Destined to be a cracking malt in years to come.
