I have been lucky to get my hands on a couple of bottles but I fear I cannot bring myself to open these, not at least in the medium term or until I can get my hands on more.
Apparently these are rarer then hen's teeth now and attract a premium price. :(
A shame as the Macallan was a brand that got me interested in whisky but is now quite unattainable due to limited supply.

@sengjc - Perhaps we could have a Macallan session someday. I have an unopened 18 YO1993 - we could compare.

How does one tell the difference? What does a 1995 look like, as opposed to much newer bottlings, and where are the bottling codes to be found on the bottle?

@rigmorole it states 1995 on enlarged numbers both on the bottle label and the box. Haven't tried the 95 but the 93 was very good.

Just to add the bottling code can be seen if you look through the back of the bottle onto the front label.

@sengjc - I've traded a '94 for a '93...now I have two '93's. A friend wanted a '94 for his son's birth year. I'm willing to trade a '93 for a '95!

How is the recent 1995 vintage of Macallan 18 compared to several years ago? Is the quality starting to creep back up or going down? Thanks in advance!
