There is a review of this on whisky fun, 83 points, sounds decent enough to me. However if you are looking for a cask strength 25 year old sherried whisky take a look at the Ben Nevis double matured also on TWE its a real winner

Thanks Kian. Whisky fun review didnt excite me too much. I'm a peat-head personally but looking for a celebratory bottle to share with a few friends so must appeal to masses hence the sherry. Budget is £75 so Ben Nevis is out the window. Interesting recc though...

Take a look at the Glenrothes 1985/2005. A superb sherried whisky, I bought a second bottle which is something I rarely do no matter how much I like it. Its £65 from TWE on special offer

I'm afraid the sherry in Glenrothes 85 is not nearly as big as in this Macduff. Beware though, if SV notices "whiffs of sulphur, cabbage and asparagus" than it's probably quite dreadfully sulphured. Unless you like that in your whisky, I would personally avoid it.
Other sherried whiskies you might want to check out (in the same price category): Glendronach 1991, Macallan 18yo, Glen Scotia 1992 DR.
