@Ducksingel without going in to detail right now, be advised that visiting the mentioned website might not be a good idea (there's nothing Ducksingel can do about that of course): my firewall just gave me the warning that the site is infected with a virus.

@markjedi1 I've contacted the owners of the site to let them know about the warning - they are probably unaware that their site has been compromised. Thanks for flagging this..

@Jean-Luc @markjedi1 The Highland Queen website is now down. Thanks to your warnings and actions, I presume. Indeed I had no idea that the site could be infected. It makes this Majesty Islay malt all the more mysterious to me...

I just bought me a bottle because I am still trying out different single malts to find out which are my favourites. I was intrigued by the taste description that promised smoke and peat and the fact that it is a single malt for only €23,-
Must say that it is not bad, but it severely lacks in aftertast, I mean the taste dies away very soon after swallowing.
I think this is will be one timer for me.

The websites problem haven't been fixed, or they have been infected again, since my firewall blocked an attack when I clicked on the link.

I've been able to buy it with the Dutch Gall & Gall chain. Can't find anything about this islay-single malt. Has anyone got any further information regarding this topic? I. bought it for a whisky-tasting this evening.

Interestingly, the Highland Queen brand is owned by the Picard family that recently bought the Tullibardine Distillery. Apparently they have more problems than trying to release their new Tulli expressions.

Can anybody tell me more about the Islay type single malt of the Majesty brand that I bought today, out of curiosity, for some € 23? This brand offers 2 single malts, as far as I know: the Islay and a Lowland type. What I found on the internet is that probably Macdonald & Muir Ltd is the producer (or Glenmorangie PLC?). The label names Highland Queen as the producer, and indeed the website of Highland Queen shows 5 Majesty single malts, but not the Islay and Lowland ones. Bit of a mystery. highlandqueen.com/scotch-whisky/en/…
