You might give Aberlour 12 a try. A bit more flavorful to my taste than the DoubleWood. Benromach 10 might be another alternative, with a little peat to boot.

My first sherried dram was the Yamazaki 10 year old, which I found to be a realy nice drop, as well as being something a little different.

@lucadanna1985 The Macallan 18 is the quintessential sherried single malt. I love the Sonnalta PX and the Yamazaki 18 has a touch as well. There is also a Scotts 25 yr Glen Grant that I like and is quite sherried as well.

Try the Aberlour A'bunadh; its not for the faint of heart, 50-60% depending on batch. You could also try the Dalmore 12 or 15, both very sherried.

Hi guys! My professor has just started to dive into sherried drams enjoying very much his balvenie double wood...now I should pick up another suitable dram and the choice here isnot so wide...do you think he is going to like glenmorangie lasanta? I've heard that sonnalta is much better, but is not available here in Sicily! Thank you in advance!
