No age statement Bowmore.

I saw a bottle of Bowmore at the store that didn't have an age statement on it that I could see. It was inexpensive but I did not buy it fearing it wouldn't be any good. Has anyone tried it and what was it any good?

@lucadanna1985 I can't remember what subtitle it had but I will check next time I see it.

I bet it was the Legend. The Bowmore darkest or bicentennary etc. would not be inexpensive. The legend is alright... not amazing though.

@ryanthesculptor - 99% of the time it will be legend (I just did a review of it!) but it could also be surf (although I think this may be duty-free only). If it was at the £25 price mark then it's legend.

@Toastbongo If only I could find a no age statement Bowmore Darkest for 25 pounds... I'd scarf that up with a quickness. I like the NAS Darkest better than the 15 year.

I'm pretty sure it is the Legend. I did a review of it awhile back as well. I am quite certain that the McClellands Islay is a Bowmore even younger than the Legend. I would definitely get the Legend over the McClellands Islay which is borderline undrinkable in my view.

I'm a big fan of Enigma but I haven't tried NAS Darkest. Maybe I'll give it a go in the New Year!
