NYE Whisky?

Tesseron LOT N° 90 XO, Toppling Goliath Nugget, & Duval Leroy Brut Rose thus far...debating on what single-malt to pour later...Perhaps Talisker 18.

Makes me happy that someones enjoying a HP. It's my favourite distillery :) I had a bottle of Ardbeg Uigeadail for my Christmas eve festivities.

I had the remains of a sample from a SMWS 21 Rosebank and an Old Potrero...then switched to Champagne.

Went to a pub with my girlfriend on NYE and had a pour of Glenfiddich 12 Year. The pub had HP18 available, but I was still a bit congested and knew I wouldn't properly enjoy it, so I decided to go with the Glenfiddich 12 as a result simply because it was cheaper for the pour.

It was very enjoyable. Tasted very sweet, with a nice subtle finish, and a lingering taste of what seemed like green apple for a while after. I'd never had it before (quite new to whisky) so it was a nice experience. I'll probably be picking up a bottle in the next few weeks.

Also, last night I tried Knob Creek 9 Year for the first time. I had bought it a few weeks ago, but didn't get around to trying it until yesterday. That was a tasty one too. Strong, so after 3 sips I added a teaspoon of water which really brought out a sweetness and mellowed out the strength a little bit, which I felt was quite helpful for enhancing the experience.
