One of the flavours that I just can't recognize in whiskies is oak. A lot of people talk about it, and it makes sense when the beverage was aged in an oak barrel of some kind.
I just don't know what I am looking for. Part of that may be because I haven't spent any time with old whiskies... where oak is most prevelant. What is a good whisk(e)y for tasting that oak flavour... if I could find it, I think I would like it. haha
