Matured in refill American oak and on Amontillado sherry casks.

N: Ah, this one is immediately beautifully maritime on the nose. Think sea breeze, fishing port and storm clouds in the sky. Nice salt that is nicely refreshed by something like menthol and then further supplemented with a sweet as of mango and apricots and sugared lemon peels. Remember those Superman logo candies? With a drop of olive oil on top. Delicious! S: On taste it is clear and a real battle between sweet and salty. Salt and pepper versus cola bottles (of course I'm talking about the sweets again). Just a little perfume-y, but it works wonderfully.
F: In the long, sweet aftertaste, another touch of anise and a drop of oyster juice appears. C: Great balanced Oban, which will get a nice spot in the bar cabinet.
