If Im not reaching to the premium stuff in my cupboard (thats for a very hard or very good day) then maybe Lagavulin DE 1991/1993...stunning standard bottlings.....if its a warm day then a good indi Clynelish is never a bad thing either.

I suppose it depends on the circumstance. If the weather is cool and I come home to a quiet, empty home, then one of the Laphroaigs might be right. I can sit, sip slowly and stare at the horizon.
But, if it is a warm day and the usual chaotic situation (two kids, a bouncy Labrador, dinner to be put on the table, etc.), then pour me a tall White Horse on the rocks or somesuch!

Indeed a hard day that deserved several sips each of Clynelish 14 (very nice), Jura Superstitution (wonderfully complex, smoky, sweet ...good balance ... good evening for Jura) and finally Macallan Sherry 12 (absolutely lovely sherry).
2nd Round: Glenfarclas 12 (intriguing, liking it better), Bruichladdich Links K-Club 14 (very engaging, tastful, satisfying), finally Ardbeg 10 (I have come to love this seaweed brininess, deep sweetness, and balanced smokiness).
3rd Round: A few sips each of Bruichladdich ROCKS (lovely, engaging, smoky, alive), Laphroaig 10 Cask Strength (deeply flavorful, big warm smoke), Springbank 10 (new black rectangular label, briney, smoky, engaging flavor) ... great adventure !

To unwind from the chaos at the office, Auchentoshan 12 always does the trick for me. Or a good bourbon or something sweet like a Bushmills Select Casks. The heavy stuff, like Ardbeg, Lagavulin, Laphroaig, I prefer to have after dinner in front of the computer or telly.

Well what is yours? i was uncertain between an Ardbeg to cheer me up or a Highland Park to put a bit of honey into my mouth...
