London? Isn't that a bit dangerous?I may have to wait til it comes to the more civilised haven of northern england :)
Sounds good, and Roskrow knows his stuff so it should be well worth checking out.

Sounds great. If I was able to come, I surely would. I hope you guys can get Auchentoshan to join the line-up.

@markjedi1, Hey Mark! You have enough bottles to do a Fest yourself, n'est-ce pas? "BelgeFest '12" perhaps?

Our very own @Piero is on BBC Radio London this evening as part of a feature about Pure Festival. We'll try and get hold of the audio for those of you who can't listen in :)

@Jean-Luc, I think it would be great present a special bottling of ..."Connosr Whisky Festival 2011"... Could you post some good B&B near Festival?

That's brilliant @Andrea looking forward to meeting you. I'll post some B&B options...

Talisker will be at Pure Festival next month presented by our friends over at The Whisky Exchange who are retail partners for the event.

@Andrea I've been giving your question about local B&B's some thought. It's hard to make a personal recommendation because I've not used any myself.
I always find the reviews on Trip Advisor quite helpful - just like the whisky reviews here on Connosr! - this is a search showing B&B's within 2 miles of Islington and under £100 is.gd/ptNDdC have a read of the feedback and adjust the search filters. You might find something there.
Pure Festival is held at The Garage opposite Highbury & Islington tube station (our underground metro system), the station is on the Vitoria Line (see this map bit.ly/ogCnJZ ) which is very fast and runs right through the heart of London. You could stay anywhere between Pimlico and Highbury & Islington and only be 10 minutes away from the venue if you travel by tube.
If you plan to enjoy other parts of London over the weekend you might want to stay centrally. @Andrea should you have any questions (or just want to run something by me for my opinion) don't hesitate to send me a DM.
Very much looking forward to meeting you at Pure!

I read that Tom McRae will be playing at the Pure Music and Whisky Festival, such a shame I can't go... Great whiskies accompanied by great music. For those that will be there, be sure to check it out.

@Jean-Luc well done on that line up- having the one and only Beta Band's Steve Mason batting in the middle order on Saturday night shows the strength in depth, not to mention Tom McRae et al- wish I could have made it but we have a family occasion in Newcastle to attend. Will make it a fixture for next year though, good luck.

My mistake- I now realise that Steve Mason is in fact headlining the upstairs stage which I had previously thought was the name of a band!! I must renew my subscription to Q and get with it :) Cheers!

Having helped out this weekend at Pure Festival, i thought i would quickly share my views on the event. To put it simply, it was brilliant! Even on the "working" side of things it was very enjoyable to be a part of. I am sure there will be plenty written over the next few days about the show, and deservedly so. Saturday was packed out, whereas Sunday was a bit calmer, but the whiskies were great, the bands were enjoyable (even for me, who hadnt heard of any of them!) and it certainly felt like everybody who turned up had a great time. It was a superb atmosphere over the two days, there seemed to be no issues what so ever, and it was rooms of smiling faces from start to finish, at least from what i could see!
Jean-Luc, Pierre and all the guys behind it put on a superb event, and sincerly hope that they take it forward next year. Well done to all involved!

@OJK, Worlds Collide! Good times. If any of you come to Seattle you have a room to stay in at my home. Maybe Pure Festival Seattle 2012?

Hi folks
In case you haven't heard, we are currently promoting our new Whisky & Music event 'Pure Festival' which takes place in London on 24/25 September this year. In a nutshell, it's a two-day whisky tasting event wrapped in a music festival with a great line up of bands. More info at www.purefestival.com
The whiskies confirmed so far include Ardbeg, anCnoc, Whyte & Mackay and a whole host of world whiskies presented by renowned whisky writer Dominic Roskrow. More to be confirmed this week.
A one day ticket is a mere £28.50 - great value I'm sure you'll agree!
Obviously with it being our first year we need all the help we can get in promoting this event, so whether you're from L.A, Luxembourg, Liverpool or London Ontario please tell people about it, Tweet it, Like it on Facebook, blog it or otherwise shout from the rooftops. We'd really appreciate it.
If it's as successful as we hope it will be, it might even come to a town near you next.
Thank you,
Jean-Luc
