Hi there everyone,

This is a new one, as I believe after thoroughly checking this page, and not just a new one; but a new one out of a set of two, for there'll shortly come a Scapa 1993 bottled in 2007 also by our favorite friends Gordon and MacPhail.

Well, what's this about? OK, picture yourself back in Dec 2015, you're in the all-so-luxurious Santo Mauro Hotel in Spain's capital and you order some nice scotch you can have just on ice (sorry neat-o hooligans) and they say ('cos they know their business) "well, yes sir, what about this" and I go like "Scapa '93 by G&McP? -Go for it!" and here we are five years later.

So they served it in this fancy oblong old-fashioned glass and there were this supa-comfy easy chairs and I really enjoyed myself and this single Highland scotch I bring to you right now. Review time:

First things first, this might be the single palest whisky yours truly has ever come across in his life (thus no caramel involved for sure.) Aroma is oats, smoke, pine needle, leather, pineapple rind... Quite nice and dandy.

Mouth is more complex than you (well, I) could foresee: stronger than the nose anticipated, citrus-y and umami midpalate, leading to a rather tannic but only medium-lasting finish. Boy, do I like it!
