@OCeallaigh Thanks for the tip. I just checked his entire collection. Alot of Balvenies (1993, double wood..) lots of Glenlivit, Glengoynes and Glenfiddish all around 12 years or more and some Highland park whiskeys, macallans and one dallmore. No talisker spotted so it will probably be his first bottle. Any other suggestions?

@gomez talisker is probably one of the best choices...another one might be Clynelish 14, fairly priced, smooth but with just a hint of peat and salt that makes it more exciting...or if he likes the Glenfiddich range, they've just launched their limited edition Glenfiddich Snow Phoenix, stunning package and good whisky for about 50 pounds, but a bit harder to find...

Hi guys,
It is my dad his birthday tomorrow and I want to surprise him with a fine bottle of whiskey. He has a nice collection of Scottish and Irish whiskeys already. I don't know much about whiskey and that is why I am coming to you guys for advice. Would any of you be so kind an provide me with some names of good quality whiskey for its price? I do want to limit the price under 50 euro's or 42BP. You will do him and myself a big favor.
