For our fourth and final release in the Mythical Series, Manny and I selected a sherry cask that was filled with spirit on Islay by a distillery whose name we are not allowed to reveal, but whoever tastes it will soon be teleported to the east coast of the mythical whisky island. After 9 years of maturation, the malt was at 50.9%, which means that the angels have been quite greedy. The label was once again adorned with a beautiful artwork by Ansgar Speller.

The nose is very aromatic on dirty leather, broth, chocolate, chewing tobacco and lychee wine with a hint of cuberdons. And of course also some herbal notes and a soft smokiness. Delicious!

Great body and immediately very sweet and even quite spicy. Chewing tobacco and leather return, supplemented with salted caramel, tar and leather. The smoke development becomes surprisingly large. The strength is heartwarming.

The finish is incredibly long with a salty touch and a nice smokiness that lingers for a particularly long time.

A delicious taste bomb as the perfect apotheosis of yet another beautiful series, even if we say so ourselves. But don't worry; Manny and I have already had our eye on a malt as the first release for the start of our 8th year.
