Secret Speyside 28 Year Old 1991 The Whisky Agency

Today we are somewhat bombarded with ‘secret’ this and ‘secret’ that, but as long as the whisky is good, we could care less. This is a Secret Sspeyside that was put to sleep in 1991 and bottled by the German company The Whisky Agency.

Deliciously sweet and fresh, call it bright nose on apples, kiwi, gooseberries, grass and buttercups. Some honey, vanilla and quinine. Spring in your glass.

Very soft on the palate. Attractive, fresh and lively but dangerously quaffable. Spirit-driven, as they say, in which the barley is wrapped up in yellow fruit, including banana which offers something of a creamy touch. A fresh fruit salad.

The finish is not very long, but wonderfully sweet. Fanta on steroids.

Nicely fruit, fresh and summery dram.
