@Jules Based on your history here, I'm sure your aware of many more smoky sherried single malts. Uigeadail would be an obvious one in that category, and Highland Parks as well. Care to clarify what you're looking for?

@Jules I have not tried it, but I think Bowmore Devil's Cask releases would fall into this category. I personally don't get smoke from my open bottle of Glenfarclas 15, interesting that you do.

Bowmore Laimrig is a good choice, and so is Bowmore Darkest.

@Barnbip
I would disagree, Bowmore Darkest would be a bad choice for almost anything you're seeking.

Highland Park uses sherry casks of either European Oak (12 yr, and 18 yr), or American White Oak (15 yr).
I think any of those 3 expressions is exactly what you're looking for.

@vanPelt Ok, yes, I should have been clearer - I meant 'non-Islay / Island' Scotches, so Speysiders (or Highland malts) that are 'old-school', with smoke in them. The Benromach 10 (new version) is the best example of this I feel...

OK got it... First comment is I agree with @mscottydunc, and I also don't get smoke from the GlenDronach. Secondly, another obvious direction: don't overlook Campbeltown (nonIslay/nonIsland).
Finally, onto others that might fit your search, at least within Scottish OBs: Now-gone Glenmorangie Finealta (part oloroso) was very good, drank a lot like an HP; their more recent Dornoch is not quite as good IMO. BenRiach has several: I'd personally really enjoyed a dram of Benriach Heredotus Fumosus (12PX), a couple years back; and they have the more recent 18yo Albariza that got mixed reviews; the Latada (if you count madeira finish) got great reviews but I can't find it; and their 25yo Authenticus is great (but actually it's undeclared how much sherry is in the mix). Tomatin's Cu Bocan got poor reviews I think. Glenfiddich released their Vintage Cask not too long ago; may not blow you away at 40% but it's by far the best of their "Cask Collection". Then there's the whole Ballechin (peated Edradour) series, worthy of a look; they released a half-sherry (like Benromach) 10yo this year at budget price, I think it's a great value for the price. You should also look up Ledaig (ok, Tobermory is Island, but people probably have overlooked it), e.g. 16yo is sherried. If you like the "matchstick" or "candle smoke" type of smoke (sulfur dioxide), you could try a Ben Nevis 15 (or a Benrinnes, but that's super expensive).

The stellar kilkerran wip 7 sherry cask should have a place on this list. It is not very heavily influenced by the sherry cask but still

Apart from these I can't think of any others, though I'd like to find some... any ideas?
