The Singleton of Dufftown consists of a 12-, 15-, 18-, 21- and 25-year-old. In addition, there are some NAS expressions, such as the Spey Cascade, Tailfire, Sunray, etc. In 2020, it also appeared in the annual Diageo Special Releases, then as a 17-year-old. The more exclusive releases can be found in the Prima & Ultima series and the Paragon of Time Collection. So, it's a nice series. I'm sticking with the 25-year-old from the standard range today.

Complex, rich nose on apricots, peaches, baked apples, and raisins, sprinkled with cinnamon and black pepper, soaked in Manuka honey. A heavy touch of rotting wood threatens to throw a spanner in the works, but no... the balance is maintained.

Beautiful body. Rich, deep, dark, and sweet. All the fruit from the nose returns, but in overripe form so that it lingers between sweet and candied, supplemented with that same honey and a lot of cinnamon and caramel. Very sweet and spicy. Delicious.

Here we can safely speak of a long finish. Sweet and spicy on the one hand overripe orchard fruit and on the other hand a cartload of caramel. And a surprisingly salty touch on the deathbed.

To the regret of those who envy it: this is a great malt. Around 350 EUR.
