Starward Ginger Beer Cask

As opposed to drinking whisky all the time the team at staward decided to make an oak matured ginger beer. It came out at 10% ABV and according to all reports is dangerously more-ish. However, with the advent of this ginger beer it meant there was an empty barrel lying around, so why not pop some whisky in. Thus, the Staward, Ginger Beer Cask. Delicious

• Nose: dry ginger ale, anise, rose, spicy honey With water more honey, spicy cinnamon

• Pallet: very viscous, spicy ginger, anise, lemongrass, little notes of salt, some floral notes as well with a hint of pepper. With water floral, almost creamy mouth feel, ginger is lighter

• Finish: tingly, lemongrass again, apple, hints of other herbs, malt biscuits, bitter honey. With water pallet just fades slowly

• Mark neat – 8.6, with water 8.8
