@Wills the only website where you can find Talisker Storm at € 38,00 is banneke.com/Whisky/Whiskey/… but you can't buy it. In my opinion this is advertising strategy.

You can buy Talisker storm at £ 39,95 and £ 39,50 here www.lfw.co.uk/acatalog/Talisker-Storm.html or on thewhiskyexchange.

Beyond all, i think that £39,50 is a good price for this bottle. I wanna buy it.

Serge's thoughts this morning could certainly convince some to take the plunge. Sounds delicious:

The article doesn't make me think I'll see it in Canada, but I'll surely buy a bottle if I do.

The "priced between Talisker 10 and DE" comment is funny for my market, because 10 sells for $84.99 and DE sells for $85.99.

@lostboyscout...if Talisker does 'Storm' Ontario, using the 'mid-point' estimate you mention, the price would come in around $95 ($80 for Talisker 10; $110 for the DE, currently...thank you Diageo price increases...). I would want to sample before I buy, as for the same price, an Aberlour Abunad'h could be purchased (which is another particularly overpriced bottle in Ontario, relative to its' pricing @ TWE).

@Andrea were you able to get a bottle? You can check whiskybase, there are lots of German shops selling for under 40€ (best price 33,90€).

After the Storm Talisker released the Port Ruighe. And now they announced the Talisker Dark Storm. Is Diageo in a hurry somehow?

The Dark Storm will be available only for duty-free/travel retail. It is said to be the most peaty Talisker ever...

@Wills, nice to re-speak with you! Actually on whiskybase there are 3 or 4 shops (whiskyzone.de, BarFish.de ...) that are selling Storm at the price € 38 c.a. Pay attention.. the prices are ecluse VAT. You have to consider + 5/6 €.I tasted Storm in Italy and i think I'm not buy it.

I wrote a post about Talisker Dark Storm few days ago whiskynews.it/2013/06/…

I love Talisker but I think the last NAS bottlings an error!

@Andrea I didn't have the opportunity to try yet, but the things I heard aren't great. And now I am a bit confused of their really fast release-strategy...

Btw. for the whiskyzone.de (never bought there, so I can't tell you anything about that shop) it says: "Preise inkl. gesetzlicher MwSt. zzgl. Versandkosten"

That means VAT is included, but shipping isn't. But I don't know what you have to pay to import to Italy. I won't buy a bottle atm either.

Nice to hear from you, greetings!

I saw the release of Dark Storm was only duty free. I am not travelling again this year but my folks (retired) are always popping over the channel so have asked them to keep an eye out for it. I am keen to try it.

@Wills Personally I've tried the Storm several times now, sadly never in a spot where I was able to take any sort of decent tasting notes, and while I enjoyed it, it's going to go for $20 more AUS then the 10 year old (so around $85 AUS) and while it's goodish/ok, It didnt beat the 10 year old in my opinion.

Even worse for me was the Port Ruigh which for me was sickly sweet and unpleasant and that's supposed to be roughly $100 to $120ish AUS per bottle. I understand why they're going the NAS route, but I think they could have done it a little better.

That being said I am hunting for a Dark Storm for some reason or other...
