Tasting order advice

We are having a tasting at my place (last minute issues with a proper booking means it's now at my house! Fun :S) and apart from 1 purchased 'surprise bottle' that someone will take home with them, we have everyone bringing their own (and not sure what anyone else is bringing). Now to order them (and my initial thoughts - apologies in advance!)

Nikka from the barrel Glenmorangie, 10 year Glenlivet (Founders reserve) Teachers Highland Cream Monkey Shoulder Bowmore (Whitesand) OR Talisker (Dark storm) Lagavulan

My initial order suggestion would be based on light to heavy, bourbon to sherry, no peat to peat.

I would go as follows:

  1. Glenmorangie 10

  2. Teacher's

  3. Monkey shoulder

  4. Nikka from the barrel

  5. Talisker / Bowmore

  6. Lagavulin

If you like your guests I would not serve the Founder's reserve. If you don't like them, it can go first.

If the group includes people familiar with blends but new to single malts, you could do the Teacher's first to produce the "you're used to that, not try THIS" effect as you move up the ladder.

Sound advice from @Nozinan and @Ol_Jas here, can't add much more.

I believe @Nozinan got it. Possibly put the founder's reserve between the Glenmorangie and the teachers.

Thanks all, I started with Teachers, but otherwise followed that order. Was a great event and appreciate the input!
