Té Bheag Té Bheag Nan Eilean

NOSE: unbelievably rich for a blended scotch nose with creamy dried fruits (primarily prunes) , distant smoke,peat. Also some sherry sweetness and hazelnuts! TASTE: sugary, a bit nutty and slightly smokey at the end. FINISH: medium long and warming. OVERALL IMPRESSION: I lost my tasting notes of this one, but I do remember that amazing nose in every detail which must be a good sign! In my opinion if the strength of this whisky was a bit higher, say...43-46%, this would be a superb example of what a blended classic scotch should be! Since it's not chill-filtered, fairly complex and has a bit of everything in this nice harmony of aromas and taste, Té Bheag Nan Eilean is, in my opinion, THE BEST blended scotch out there!
