In the so-called Small Batch Collaboration, Teeling has released a lot of bottles in 2021. This is one of them, in collaboration with Dot Brew, in which the Bourbon barrel-aged Teeling – a blend, by the way – got a finish on former Amber Ale Casks.
Ooh, this one is very sweet and very candy-like. I imagine myself in a candy shop. Toffee apples, cotton candy, rainbow drip sticks, Tutti Frutti, caramel and icing sugar. Another soft hint of menthol and English licorice.
Nice and oily, but again very sweet. This is a liquid lollipop on steroids. Hint of candied apple and some ginger as well as the menthol that I already noticed on the nose.
The finish is medium-long, pungent like citric acid candy and gently drying.
I was hoping it would get used to, but alas. Too sweet and candy-like for me. Sample received from Benny. Of course, I would almost say.
