I have a few bottles of each and have already tried both. I prefer the Companta over the Taghta. I think the Taghta is a little over-priced for what it offers - it almost feels like a Glenmorangie the Original. As for the Companta, the winey characters seem to dominate, bordering on overpowering, but still within acceptable balance limits to me.

Really enjoy the Companta, but you don't want to drink more than a dram or two at a time. Very much wine influenced, but it works quite well. I still have three bottles and might buy 1 or 2 more to save.

So this year it's the Companta... Any thoughts? I don't know much about this one. I know the Ealanta from last year got a lot of attention, so it's got a lot to live up to. Reviews I've had a look at are pretty positive. I have to admit I wouldn't mind learning a bit more about it if I could, like how old it is...
And while we're at it, what do we know about the Taghta? It seems that one is a bit less well received, though liked all the same. I know even less about that dram!
