This limited edition was bottled in 184 decanters. The single cask (refill bourbon 25602) was bottled in November 2010 after a maturation period of over 36 years.

The nose is glorious! Licquorice, caramel, dark fruits, citrus and even baked banana.

It's very oily and softly seasoned with allspice and oak. A touch of salt at the end.

The finish is lingering.

Unfortunately, the nose promised much more than the palate delivered. Pity. Nevertheless, this is an amazing Tomatin, that is much more lively than its age would have you expect.
