This was a bit loose around the edges, it seems to forget itself at points. Nose: Bitter Apple, Honey, some nutmeg, and there it goes forgetting it is a single malt scotch, some fresh mowed grass. Palate: Bitter apple, honey, spice, oak from the barrel and it fades way to quickly. Finish: Sharp and unpleasant nothing sweet to make the apple feel like it is balanced, smoke, oak, honey, fresh mowed grass as it fades to the 5 minute mark i get vinegar.

My advice drop the 16-17 extra for the singleton single malt, rather than get this because while it is good for 20 bucks i could get some cheap bourbon or a Johnnie Walker black label and still regret this giving it a 75/100 while it is not good i would not turn down a dram if it was on hand, good introduction to single malts if the person does not know what to expect.
