I find it interesting to go back through ratings of certain whiskies to view trends in the ratings (and the praise). The most dramatic example of this is, of course, the Aberlour A'bunadh, which lists batches, and hence makes the trends easier to follow with this outstanding whisky.
Trends with other whiskies do, of course, emerge from time to time. This is especially noticeable when a lot of glowing reviews heap up here on the Connosr.
It's always best when they heap up in the present time so we can take advantage of them, but this site has been around long enough to go "back in time" so to speak and see how some less fortunate whiskies (and the distillers that make them) have gone downhill or fallen upon hard times.
How about you? Any trends you've noticed in some whiskies you that like now, or that you once liked more and have been a bit disappointed in lately?
