I would be great if we could have:
1) every entry into our cabinet automatically go into our history. 2) alphabetized history 3) bottle count per type in the history
Thanks!

@Jean-Luc Hi JL, it would be nice if we could have "drag and drop" functionality within our cabinet and/or between our cabinet and wish list inventory. Thanks for all you do for this site...it's great!

Hey guys - I'd forgotten about this thread (which is more than a year old) but it's good that it has been bumped as we are always happy to hear your ideas.
Actually we are developing some drag and drop functionality on another new feature (to become clear soon) so, if that goes well, we'll consider integrating it with the cabinet too.

@Jean-Luc Thanks for your response/update and look forward to future site upgrades!

@Eirikur Please clear your cache and try again, if you are still having issue email support www.connosr.com/contact/

I've had the same problem Jean Luc. Already cleared my cache, but doesn't help...

@drinix @Eirikur guys that should now be fixed. Thanks for spotting that, we made a few updates this week and it must have caused a glitch in the matrix.

Thank you Jean-Luc. The issue has been fixed, I can add to my cabinet now. Btw, I am using Win7-64 and Firefox.

H Jean-Luc, Any chance of adding batches in to the Aberlour A'bunadh and a way to alphabetize our cabinet?
Thanks

It would be nice to have a following feature - when you add a new bottle to the cabinet it should record a date, so that you know since when is it open / present in the collection

I often noticed that the amount of displayed reviews is not correct.
If you search "PC8" e.g. you find 5 reviews: www.connosr.com/search/pc8/
If you watch the bottle, there are no reviews (sometimes there are reviews, but not all): connosr.com/whisky/islay/…
Another thing I would highly recommend (dont know if I already mentioned it) are some statistics, like 'avg. given rating' by user xy in the profile.
Greetings and thx for the effort.

@Wills +1 Have often noticed the review stats / links are out of whack. Guessing they're only refreshed every now and then. Would be great to have them more in-sync and current state of reviews for a given bottle / expression.

Yep. My review is 3 month old, since then there was no updating.
By the way, it is not possible to add a new bottle by users? I don't mean the feature in the cabinet, but the 'bottle page'.

Like @Wills, I think that adding more statistics would be a really nice addition to the already wonderful website. I'm kind of a geek when it comes to statistics so it would be nice to see, as @Wills, mentioned the average rating given of each user. This way you can compare a particular review to the standard taste of the reviewer.

I would appreciate the following features added to the Cabinet: - ability to print list (cabinet, wish list, history - individually or all together - ability to export to a file, with selectable format? Excel (.xls), Comma Separated Values, text (CSV), open/Libre Office Calc (.ods)

I would also suggest to have this thumbsup/down system in the reviews and showing this in the preview when u search for bottles.
Btw. are you planning in implementing this stuff, or is it needless to post wishes here?
Greetings.

I'd like to see some sort of standardization applied to the way things are listed. I just added an Ardbeg Galileo to my cabinet and it took me checking the actual bottle and comparing it to the listing to make sure I had the correct item. The listing for the cabinet has it as a 12 year old and the actual bottle has no age statement.

Hi there
Would love to have some options like searching discussions 'started by user xy' or 'user xy made a post to'. This would be really helpful to find older discussions. Otherwise it can be really difficult to find that awesome thread I read 18 month ago ;)
Greetings

@Wills...what you said. In general, an easier way to find old discussions (maybe something as simple as breaking up the 'general whisky chat' category into multiple categories so that there were fewer threads per category) would be greatly appreciated.

I vote for alphabetization (or custom sorting/ordering). Adding more and more bottles, I'd like to see the ranges of a single distillery all in one section/side by side..

@Jean-Luc I agree with @chuck51 about adding batches. Aberlour A'bunadh and Laphroaig cask strength spring to mind.

Hi @Jean-Luc et al, I would REALLY like the ability to "like" (thumbs up) the fact that a user has added a bottle to their cabinet or wishlist. It would make this site even more "social" and I think it's a nice way to acknowledge a user's activity without having to start a thread about it!
Same goes for any other activity that pops up in the Network Activity feed, where it makes sense for others to "like" it.
Cheers

Sorry if this is the wrong part of the discussion forum but i figured it's on toipc.
How often do you update the bottle list for the distilleries ? I just came across a bottle of Laphroaig PX Cask and it's no where to be found in the list of Laphroaig whiskys.

@Alexsweden You can't update the list as such but can add non listed bottles for reviews and to your cabinet.

@tjb The list of bottles needs to expand to include the ever expanding expressions of whiskey.

thanks, @tjb , I did. But in regards to searching and discussing the newer expressions an update to the "official" whiskylist would probably be beneficial to the functionality.

I've just made the first round of updates aimed to improve the usability of the cabinet feature; both when adding and editing your own cabinet; and viewing other users' profiles.
Essentially there are far fewer page refreshes now, when adding and removing bottles and when navigating through cabinet pages. So, things should be a little smoother in general, as always I'm keen to hear your thoughts or feedback.
