Honestly - if you have the funds - buy both.
As a big fan of the Balvenie distillery I can say that every 15 yr SB bourbon aged whisky was either 'very good', or exceptional'.
I will say that I'm not certain of the older bottlings were any better than the newer, but having a few of both - I was pleased with all.

To answer your question more directly...I'd go with the bottling from 2009 cask #11734...It was at this time Balvenie really started to develop a following because of their quality.

@FMichael I agree, get both! I enjoy Balvenie 15y SB, I have a few bottles myself. I would want to taste both and see what what the difference are, get one of latter bottlings also. I would regret if I passed on one of these.

@ Jules: I have two 15 SB. One is in cask 6-4-95 and bottled 6-3-10 cask #2833. The other in cask 10-07-89 and bottled 02-09-04 cask #8407. Either have been opened. I agree with the other posters, buy both. Hard to go wrong with Balvenie.

I've found these two, anyone with 15yo SB experience have an idea which might be the better pick?
A) Distilled 06/12/1993, Bottled 11/02/2009 - cask #11734 B) Distilled 09/08/1995 - Bottled 30/03/2011 - cask #8999
Both are the older Bourbon cask verisons, 47,8% ABV
