I have used a wine kit which was similar but had many more aromas in the kit. It was quite educational.

I have used the wine kit in my photographic workshops to help people think outside of language in hopes that it might help with composition and aesthetic. It's kind of a fun exercise.
I would consider something like this however, to better my abilities to "taste" fine single malt.
