After purchasing two apps this morning, both of which fail to accomplish what I'm after, I'm hopeful that the collective wisdom of this fine whisky community can offer a better solution.
The "problem" is that my whisky collection has grown beyond it's original cabinet and filled a second one. As a result, tracking what is in there has become difficult. I thought that for sure there would be an app that allows you to populate a virtual whisky cabinet that could be filtered and searched for a rapid review of its contents.
Unfortunately, after tossing some money down the drain on two promising looking apps, I'm back to square one. Has anyone found something that works well for them?
@ganagati - after a few apps myself - i have come back to my favourite MS Excel Workbook. For me that is the cheapest and the most flexible option. Plus, with all th enew smartphone/ sin the market - easier to keep and carry around.

There isn't much in the way of sorting by characteristics, but as far as having a huge stock of whiskies in their database to search from, and the ability to select whether it's closed, open, or empty, (for those apps i tried) they've got the best app available.
That said, I think an excel spreadsheet sitting in the cloud would work best. Good call.
Lastly, with regards to the connosr cabinet, it's tough to navigate...
