Whisky Live 2013: Australia!

@systemdown Yeah, April for me. August is so far away! However the good news for you guys having to wait longer is that I just woke up to an email from the Whisky Live boys letting me know that Ardbeg has signed on for Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. JEALOUS!!!

@systemdown Sadly no Ardbeg in Perth. It's just you big 3! However I've heard we'll be getting first access of a special Talisker before it makes it's appearance anywhere else in the country :D

@SquidgyAsh Ah well I'm sure you'll catch LVMH some place else in the not too distant future.. special Talisker hey.. I bet it's not the Storm. Maybe a new DE? Or a 30+ year old.

Just posted a quick sneak peek on some more things to expect at Whisky Live in Perth this year! It's making me so thankful that I purchased my tickets considering I was VERY leery of it last year. If the guys running it can pull it off half as good as it sounds it's going to be a BLAST!

Pretty awesome. My first time having any Aussie whiskey in general and won't be my last. Getting a bottle of the Starward and the Overeem Port Cask Matured Cask Strength. I also Managed to get a whiff of peat smoke and found out that Sydney oysters are absolutely amazing with Bowmore as a condiment (freshly shucked, a few drops of Bowmore and then slurp). Also impressed with some of the new (newish) releases that I haven't tried: Benromach Organic (a softer Astar), Glenfiddich Rich Oak 14 YO and Talisker Storm.
