Glenlivet 12. I tried it years ago and really didn't like it; it just did nothing for me. Then, a couple months ago I bought a little 20cl bottle of it because it was on sale and tried it and really liked it. It's by no means the best 12 year old out there, but I certainly do like it a lot more now.
The first time I tried it I was probably just not in the right mood to be drinking whisky, but a glass was given to me so I couldn't let it go to waste.

I just posted a couple of minutes ago my re-evaluation of Macallan 1841. I attribute the improvement to decanting the liquid, allowing it to "breathe" (expose to air/oxygen) for a month. Usually I'm concerned air can damage whisky, but in this case it did improve.

I bought a bottle of The Balvenie Signature back in January, opened it, had a couple of goes at it and left it at that. I hated it. Then last weekend i decided to give it another go- this time using my Highland Park nosing glass- How could i be so wrong?! This is a great whisky (or is it just a great glass!!). Which Whisky have you done a complete U-turn on and what do you put it down to?
