I like it in principle but it's still subjective. Clever idea to centralise lists and create new ones.

@cherylnifer I typed "butter" on the front page just now, and it gave autocompleted options "butter" "buttered" and "buttery". Is that what you mean?

Many thanks vanPelt. I attempted to use the drop down choices, which does not include any variation of "butter". It never occurred to me that I could type in "butter" and have the choices you had made available to you appear. But those same choices were presented to me too.

A very clever idea. I actually sat and wished for a tool like this just the other day. I fear though that the idea is better than the actual product. like @tjb wrote, taste is subjective.
Still a fun prospect, I'll surely test it

You can't really dismiss a tool like this because taste is subjective, or the entire idea of tasting notes would be utterly redundant!
Fascinating idea though - thanks for the headsup!

Hard to take that website seriously when they rate the 15 yr Balvenie Single Barrel a score of 78, but then give the 12 yr DBL Wood an 82.

Yeah I've used that site.... my main problem with the flavor measures is that each whisky shows different flavours at various points of drinking it - ie. first taste on the tip of the tongue vs. taste when chewing/swirling vs. the finish.
All stages reveal different flavours in varying amounts, so the simple 'bar-graphs' they use are too limited, really.

@FMichael couldn't agree more. Those tow are miles apart IMO. SB 15 in a landslide.

Apparently they have sourced data -- in part -- from Connosr, to make a searchable whisky recommendation website (where you search by flavor). Their Top 10 lists seem interesting to peruse.
