Wild Turkey Rare Breed

I'm curious as to your friends source. This has not been mentioned on the bourbon boards, and they are generally on top of everything. The only bad news I know is that WT101 Rye is being replaced by 81 proof. That's travesty enough for me.

I went to a tasting hosted by Jimmy & Eddie Russell last week. I think they would have mentioned Rare Breed being discontinued as it was one of the items we sampled.

I asked my Friend and he told me that it is posted by the owner of a big german Whisky Retailer on his website .

WTRB is one of my favorites. Everyone who's tried it loved it. I can't imagine they're discontinuing it... I looke online and found this article which seems to indicate Wild Turkey as a brand is expanding rapidly: downtown.wave3.com/news/business/…

@Wodha -- I talked to my friendly neighborhood (well, sort of) whisky retailer -- the same one that hosted the tasting I mentioned earlier -- and he said that WT RB is one of Jimmy Russel's favorites and so not likely to be discontinued.
