My thanks to @whiskygoalie for the reviewed sample. The bottle has been open for 2 or 3 years, but in this case that is not a problem

Willett/Kentucky Bourbon Distillers/KBD has done the aging on many bourbons and ryes whose distillate was sourced from other distilleries. They are geniuses at maturing whiskey at KBD. Even their 2 year old whiskey is superb. The distillery of Barrel # 3684 is unknown. These Willett Family Estate whiskeys aged over 18 years are becoming rare indeed

Nose: rye spices, maple, and vanilla are very prominent. This is spice balanced by moderate sweetness, done very elegantly. This smells like very well-matured whiskey. Beautiful

Water added raises the pitch very high and brings out confectioner's sugar

Score 23.5/25 points

Taste: excellent translation of the nose flavours with vibrant very strong flavours in the mouth. A class act

Water added brings out lower register wood tannins and lessens the appeal on both palate and finish

Score: 23.5/25 points

Finish: stays long and just the same for a slow fade out. Remains excellent. Score: 23/25 points

Balance: Willett Family Estate is the coat-of-arms of class. It is an increasingly rare pleasure for us to be able to drink bourbons and ryes of this age and pedigree. Thanks, Steven! Score: 23/25 points

Total Sequential Score: 93/100 points

Strength: strong vibrant flavours throughout. Score 23.5/25 points

Quality: lovely flavours all around. Score: 24/25 points

Variety: very good variety of flavours. Score: 22.5/25 points

Harmony: easy and very compatible flow of the flavours together. Score: 23/25 points

Total Non-Sequential Score: 93/100 points

Comment: only 3-5 years ago a person could still find bottles like this one to buy. Now they have become rare and expensive. Carpe diem!!!
