Takashimaya is a well-known Japanese department store. A bit like the Inno in Belgium or Macy's in New York, so to speak. And they have already ordered a special bottling from Wolfburn three times. The first was bottled at 50% ABV in 2017. The second from 2019 was also cut to 50%, while the third from 2020 was delivered at a cask strength of 58.7%. I have the very first release in my glass, which is very pale.

Surprisingly farmy nose with notes of raw grain, malt sugars, wet cardboard and sheep's wool, really! In addition, some vanilla, apples and currants. Pretty young, if you ask me.

The body is fine. Nice and oily. On the palate it shows a lot of vanilla and honey supported by orchard fruit. Think apples and pears. It can't hide his young age, but fortunately it's all very beautiful and accessible. However, the alcohol percentage does make itself felt. This Wolfburn is especially very clean.

The finish is long, sweet and peppery. Here too you can taste that it is a young malt, but it does not disturb at all.

非常にきれいな, I must say (yes, yes, I know, you're going to need Google Translate...). Nice taste sensation.
