Haven't had a chance to read through all of it yet...but as a 'sponge for information' when it comes to my growing and evolving knowledge and love of the whisk(e)y hobby, this magazine is EXACTLY what has been missing from my set of resources. The timing is particularly key as the LCBO in Ontario has finally started dipping their toe into the 'world whisky' category as Belgian Owl (albeit, at CAN$123 for a 500 mL bottle!!!), Penderyn 41, and Amorik Breton have made it on to shelves.

A raise of the glass to both Dominic and Connosr for a job well done...Keep up the good work!!

@Pudge72 Belgian Owl in Canada? Wow! That's amazing. But what a steep price. In Belgium it's about 40 EUR (which is steep, even by Belgian standards).

@Piero This is fantastic ! Thnak you ! One request, would it be possible to edit the magazine as a PDF which I could print-out and read in a comfy chair (with a wee dram ;-) ?

@markjedi1 ...Belgian Owl was just recently introduced on some shelves in Ontario (including six bottles each at two stores here in London) complete with a brochure that gives tasting notes from Fred Muller (is he the master distiller at 'The Owl Distillery'?) in three languages (English, French, and Flemmish). The tasting notes, while suffering slightly from stilted translation to English (I don't mean to sound hypocritical...as I have no 2nd language at all!...just an observation), are actually really unique as they include notes from various stages - new make, 12 months, 24 months, and 36 months old - for cask #4275873. The tasting notes at the 36 month stage sound great. @markjedi, would I be correct in thinking that you have tried this bottling before? If so, would a review of your observations be possible? Just thought I'd ask... :)

As for the pricing, unfortunately, this one seems to skew along the lines of Glen Breton 10 in Canada...you're paying (a lot) more for a product from a newer distillery and hoping for the best. Especially considering the size of the Belgian Owl bottle (500 mL), the pricing is especially rough. I'll cheer for its' success all the same, as any increase in offerings at the LCBO is a good thing.

@Pudge72 I have tasting notes for the Belgian Owl on Connosr. But they were posted before JL and Piero uploaded the bottle. So it will take some searching... As for Fred Muller: never heard of him.
