@lucadanna1985 We had some fabulous drams! My wife found that she liked the Tamdhu 10 so well she bought a bottle. She remarked that it was the first time she loved the least expensive item on a list anywhere. When we arrived home, it was the first time I saw here open a bottle of Whisky. How great is that? She tends to be a died in the wool wine enthusiast.
I tried a Arran Machrie Moor and found it to be another young and beautiful expression. I also tasted a Talisker Distillers Edition, different of course from the Talisker 10 by being a bit more forward.
I have to say, I didn't try one that I found to be unpalatable.

@RobertH never tried a tamdhu, and after they mothballed the distillery there is going to be the usual crazy rise in prices I fear...what a shame no such tasting events are available here in Sicily!

My wife and I just spent the weekend at the Miners Delight Inn this weekend. It's a bed and breakfast that has a whisky tasting every second weekend of the month.
We really enjoyed ourselves and made new friends. It's located in a place called Atlantic City, Wy. It used to be a mining town and is rich in history. It was a beautiful drive and the accommodations were just great.
Bob, the proprietor, and his wife run the B&B. Bob has over 75 different single malts to taste. If you find one you love, you can take home a bottle. The tasting is very well run and was a lot of fun.
Highly recommended!
