I am a traveller and duty free buyer. Worked abroad most of my life, and try and balance the great outdoors with my drinking. Not too difficult, as there is nothing quite like getting stuck into a great single malt at sunset or sunrise in the freezing cold above 3,000 m at the top of a volcano or sitting round the campfire in the desert 100s of km from the nearest mark of mankind.
My tip for drinking any whiskey. Also being a keen vodka swiller, put your best whiskeys on ice, drink them thick and leave them on the tongue a bit longer to get the maximum flavour.
