Whisky noob. I had my first taste of single malt scotch about 1 month ago (march 2013) when my friend grabbed a bottle of Glenfiddich 12 yr just for fun. I was amazed at how different and better it was compared to the Canadian whiskies and bourbons I'm used to seeing. The next week I bought a bottle of 12 yr Glenlivet. It was so different from the Glenfiddich, at this point I knew that I had to try them all!
So within the first month I've purchased about a dozen bottles and have tried 20 or so single malts. Hopefully I can slow down and turn this into a more affordable hobby.
